Working Together – Building Relationships
Parents are our partners in ensuring that their child’s best interests are met. We believe a positive parent-teacher relationship goes a long way in realising a child’s true potential.
Parents and children have access to an appropriate settling-in period when each child first joins the Nursery.
Communication is vital. This is why we have day-to-day interactions, newsletters, parent-teacher meetings, written reports and term-based events such as International Day, Sports Day and various celebrations.
Our parent-teacher meetings are held twice a year to give you the opportunity to visit the nursery and meet your child’s teacher. You are welcome to contact us whenever you need any information or guidance regarding your child. We are open to your suggestions and look forward to your keen participation and interest in our activities.
Your child’s progress is observed, recorded and assessed throughout the year. This information is conveyed to you either in written or verbal form at least once each term.
We provide opportunities for parents to become actively involved in the life of the nursery by attending and helping at the many events held during each academic year and volunteering to provide help where required.
Raffles Nurseries have several Policies and Procedures in place which include all aspects of Child Health, Safety and Protection. These Policies and Procedures are kept in a file in the Vice Principal’s office and parents are welcome to view these policies.
